Duce Needs to Come Back
As ****ed as I was that he held out last year, I can honestly say that I'd like Duce back. Duce/Westy, TO, Freddie, Pinky and Donnie would look nice on O.
Can we work out a deal where the Ravens get Bucky (since Lewis may end up in the big house)? |

I think Duce wants to be the main guy and that ain't happening here. I'd look at Jamel White who was just cut for cap reasons by the Browns. He's averaged 50 receptions out of the backfield the last 3 years and twice contributed over 800 yds of O for a Brown team with a bad O line. He's only 26 so if he can pick up the blitz at 220 lbs I think he'd be a perfect 3rd head.

Actually I was going to post about White today, as a nice fit to replace Duce. Will work cheap, is young and can play a bit when either Bucky or Westy goes down.
I'll still miss Duce and the other things he brings!

blocking and short yardage are my main concerns when i think about losing duce. if white can do thes two things, and i don't know enough about him to say that he can or can't, then i'm on board with him. i would still prefer to go with what i'm familiar with, though. i guess that's just human nature.

Love Duce too, there is always a place on a roster for a guy like him. I hope he stays then we can draft a young guy and the RB situation will be fine.

I'd like the 3 headed monster to be Westy, Duce and a drafted RB.

Bucky all the way...Duce was great and I loved his contributions in the past but his day is done here. Bucky will take huge strides this year as he is two years removed from knee surgery.
As for short yardage situations, yeah I love Duce's second effort runs and it still amazes me every time I see him do it...but Bucky has a lot more power than Duce and can also jump over the line so he doesn't need to make that second effort as much (usually gets in on first effort). Plus Bucky is our best open field runner except maybe Dmac although we didn't even really get to see Dmac in the open field making Jukes as much last season.
