I am most disappointed in Nick Nurse, then Daryl Morey. Nurse is so fucking stubborn even in the face of continuing failure of slow ass vets who can't defend, can't ever rebound or score a needed basket. Just being a vet shouldn't guarantee you playing time especially when they keep failing this badly.

He needs energy, toughness and athleticism of Council and Martin. I would also play Reed to help Embiid rebound late when he doesn't have his legs. Harris is getting torched by anyone he guards, he isn't rebounding and he isn't scoring. Bench.Him.

Hate to say, but even if they won this series, that was going to be it, given that Embiid doesn't have the endurance at this point to carry them all the way, all by himself.

I'm not sure how many more supporting equations they can keep trying.

I'm sorry,. Christopher, but you have to rephrase that. Embiid played 44 minutes. No modern day center who is asked to be the team's best scorer and best defender can or should play 44 minutes of any game. That's a failure of Nick Nurse and Daryl Morey. Saying Embiid doesn't have the endurance makes it sound like it's his fault he can't play 48 minutes and still be fresh as a daisy.

Nurse could play Embiid but play Reed with his to help rebound. Harris isn't justifying his playing time.

Nurse has used the exact same supporting choices in every game, even in the face of withering continued failure. When Boston was behind 3-2 to the Sixers, they put Williams in a PF specifically to defend/double Embiid as soon as he put the ball on the floor. They adjusted. They won. Nurse won't even try.

Embiid looked wiped out well before approaching 40 minutes played. He doesn't have the health and endurance at this point in the season to be as consistently effective as earlier in the year. It's not his fault. It is what it is. He's injury prone and wears down some. The organization has failed to surround him with adequate help, and I also agree that Nurse needs to try something different with the players he has on hand.

The non-Embiid minutes have been a problem with this team for how many years now? Morey has to be gone.

Rebounding/Knicks second and third chances was sickening to watch. This team just finds different ways to get outworked and outmatched. Year after year their flaws are severely exposed but they never do the same to other team.

Bodner posted this.

The Sixers have gone 16/60 from the floor without Embiid. Maxey 8/26, Tobias 2/8. Two fucking field goals all series when Embiid has sat.

People will blame Paul Reed but the real problem is the offense has been awful when Embiid sits. Need more from the other guys.

It's time to start over. Process Part 2.

For Embiid's sake. Sixers don't deserve this guy anymore. Seven years now they can't get a legit team around him.

They have tried almost everyone. Butler, Harden. Harris was a major flop. Three different coaches now? Poor Maxey can only do so much. Still no legit threat off the bench. No wing support. No consistency.

Sixers should be wiping the floor with the Knicks. Should not be like this where Joel is carrying the entire team on one leg, and half a face to a lesser extent.

I mean, I guess with Harris leaving they'll try one more time and hopefully get a third scorer in. Nothing has worked. Nothing. Morey needs to go.

I got more to vent...

I know this isn't all Morey's fault. This all goes back to Hinkie making bad picks and then Collangelo getting rid of what was left.

Out of all that, the only one who is worth something at this point is Embiid. Think about it...

MCW
Noel
Oakafor
Simmons
Fultz (which was a shitty trade)

All that tanking got us fans nothing. Now the Sixers have to play catch up each year trying to get a team around Joel when, if those guys would have played out, could be looking at a ring or two here.

Just venting. Just so frustrating now watching this team each year.
