With 1 game to go 31-20 without him. Never thought they could do that

Hope Bohm is ok but with him out, don't know why JT wasn't the DH instead of Nick
Probably just resting Bohm.
Schwarber shouldn't be leading off either. I would go Stott, Segura, Bohm, Harper, Hoskins, JT, Schwarber, Castellanos and Centerfielder.

I'll take it. We need God-tier Nola to go anywhere at this point.

32-20 without Bryce - almost 1/3 of the season

Great job by so many - now keep it going against the Pirates

That carries extra weight, coming from you.

Nola might consider the security of an extension this offseason, because I don't think he can *increase* his value by simply staying at his current level in 2023. OTOH if something happens in 2023 it could cost him big bucks.

At the very minimum, he'd probably be seeking 5/100 for 2024 through 2028, his age 31 through 35 seasons. Even if he finishes Top 5 in the Cy Young in 2023, he probably doesn't get much more than 5/125, so maybe he'd be open to something in the ballpark of 5/100 now, plus maybe a renegotiation of his 2023 salary to bump it up $5M.

The Phillies' thoughts on this might change depending on what's up with Wheeler, too. They need a veteran top of rotation guy to put around the kids as they develop.

Wheeler's contract is up after 2024; and he'd be in line for 3/90 if this level continues?

Don't see the Phils signing both, so I think Nola may be the better investment.
