Exactly, I don't get it. Ultra aggressive DL?
Screen those MFers to death.
Make them have to stop to chase.

Dumb plays on 1st down gets them off schedule too many damn times. Stop tryna be clever.
You can't be 2nd and 9 vs this DL.
You can't rely on only inside zone reads when you're looking at long down and distance. It's too predictable, especially in shotgun.

Watching the replay, the play so many got up in arms about with Hurts when they say he missed Smith on the cross, Smith was not the primary.
Brown was left in the slot, Smith was right. Brown drifted inside on a clearing route and Barkley went out on a wheel route down the left side. Smith was coming from the right on a shallow cross, but he was not the primary read, Barkley was as Hurts is looking down field to see if/when Barkley beat the LB, Barkley doesn't clear. At that point, Smith has come across the formation but Hurts gets pressured that flushes him left. By that time, it's too late to go to Smith.
Hurts did what he was supposed to do. With that long a developing play down field, there's no way he could see Smith to deliver the cross with the pressure.
It is NOT the major mistake all the haters made it out to be.
