Yeah, I know we complain -- 100% rightfully -- about the guys making $20M who are not producing.
But Cave isn't cutting it. He's not even really a platoon guy.
I don't know what the alternative is, though.
One possibility would be to give Realmuto more off days at DH and play Stubbs.

I guess, when Suarez is back and stretched out, we can imagine a scenario where these guys give them 5 respectable innings, and then let Strahm pitch two innings before going to the pen for the final 6 outs, rather than wrangling 12 outs from 4-5 relievers. If Strahm can do a few times a week, it takes of the pressure of these starters melting down their third time through the lineup.

No on Stubbs - more he plays, more he will get exposed
Need to trade for someone

Well, if nothing else, they cannot continue to wear Realmuto into the ground.

They may as well. Cave & Hall were supposed to be our lefties vs. RH pitching until Harper returns.
But at this point they just need folks who can hit anything, even if it's another RHB

They're really going to let Kimbrel try to save this one.
Fuck me.

Five more saves until #400 and then they can release him.
Might take until July

Alvarado is good

Need a few more runs to make it Kimbrel proof - otherwise, at a minimum, the tying run will come to the plate
