There are some losses that are just excruciating.

This was one of those.

Turner is experiencing what Castellanos went through last year, his 1st with the Phillies. I get it, but it doesn't make it easier to deal with.

Castellanos' 2023 gives me hope for Turner for 2024, but that doesn't make it any easier to deal with. Neither does Thomson's refusal to drop him down the lineup, as with Castellanos, last year.

As was said, Stott should be 2nd, Turner 6th.

They're in a weird spot right now.
Cave & Hall are hitting really well at Triple-A, but the team is already "too lefty" and Harper isn't ready for 1B yet. Really suffering from "too many DHs" right now.

I'm theorizing that Dylan Covey is still on the roster as a "Noah Song placeholder," to see if they can survive down one pitcher. That's what they'll need to do with Song on the roster in July/August, in order to retain his rights. (September will be easier because of call-ups). I'm in favor of this, because this team needs all the pitching prospects it can get.

Sanchez is helping them for the moment, but they still need a veteran #5, at least one bullpen arm and then a RH platoon outfielder, assuming Harper can play 1B.
