How were the Lakers able to pull off everything they've done?

[The Philadelphia 76ers are signing free agent center Mo Bamba to one-year contract, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. Bamba was waived by the Los Angeles Lakers just before free agency began.]
I only hope it doesn't affect Paul Reed. It had better not mean they don't re-sign him.

[ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski first reported the news and also noted the Sixers have "the intention of keeping restricted free agent Paul Reed," who did strong work as Joel Embiid's backup center in last year's playoffs. Bamba's deal is for the minimum salary, PhillyVoice's Kyle Neubeck reported.]
Ok. I feel a bit better but I'll believe it when I see it.
Get Rees signed, trade Harris, start Reed at PF.

This is what I was thinking as well. They want to give Reed a try at the 4 with Joel at the 5, or have La Bamba there.
I know they tried it with Horford and it didn't work out, but that was a different coach.

Assuming they're "stuck" with Harden, the strategy on Harris will be interesting. It still has to be a quality return, or at least a return that equals the value of Harris's expiring.

Windhorst said Morey has something big brewing. Make sense. Signs 2 guys on cheap 1 year deals. Doesnt sign any of our own FAs. Harris' expiring. Maxey not extended. Harden one year opt in.

I would dearly love to have LaVine from the Bulls. That's exactly what they need on this roster.
