And that is the nail in the coffin.
Nail was at 17-0
Maybe, but the Eagles were driving on the first possession 1st and 10 at the Bucs 45....since then the Eagles have beaten themselves over and over again
YeahI hear ya. I just thought the way we played the 1st half, I had little confidence they could come back.

Stop it with the OTHER QB talk....It would be one of the worst decisions this franchise has EVER done.
Getting one of those QB would destroy their cap, lose draft capital and NONE of that brings this team a winner.
Give Jalen next year with new talent and all the kids that will be coming via the draft for the defense.

True....it is something that Siriani has to figure out...and those are supposed to be the scripted plays

What if the Eagles traded for Watson. Does Jalen get traded or change positions. No way do I think they will do that, but for arguments sake, let's say they do?

I think Jalen's got a 50/50 shot of being the starter next year. First, Nick wasn't there when he was drafted.
Second, it depends on what the FO wants to do with the three picks. Granted, they're nowhere near as tasty as they were 6 weeks ago, they're still somewhat nice.
IF Howie feels that Jalen behind center along with one pick helping out the OL as well as the other two to help the D, it might be a good and payroll-friendly way to go. Back-up QBs will cost more than Jalen next year, so maybe make the use of the discount there and up your overall talent.

And then if he isn’t a franchise QB you are stuck.
It comes down to their evaluation before this draft. They either think he is a franchise guy or isn’t. If they don’t think so they’ll be involved, not sure they’ll get it done obviously but they will be in those discussions.
They won’t have the assets to go get a franchise QB anytime soon again if they don’t think Hurts is one.
And they’ll be in good shape with the cap going forward even with an expensive QB

We don't even know if Watson can even play next year
As for Wilson, unless it only costs one first rounder, they would still have too many holes. Rather give Hurts another year

What???? How are you stuck? That makes no sense he has 2 years left on his cheap rookie contract. There are no QBs in this draft so I dont get your logic

Because if you bring Hurts back and he is just a guy and you go 7-10 or 8-9 you are picking 15th with no clear path to get a franchise QB.
They are in the best position of any team to go get Watson, Wilson etc.
