Game 1 of the 1976 13 game road win streak is one older fans will remember.
18-16 vs the Cubs; Schmidt 4 HRs

Two devil's advocates:
-- Detroit had the luxury of playing Vierling straight through his .562 OPS in May. Philly would have pulled the plug.
-- Soto has been fairly important for us. He especially stepped up when Alvarado went down.

Ball barely cleared the wall - if the CF had played it better, might have caught it
C'est la vie
Yeah, watched that a few times of course.
That was a subpar play in center field.
Chaz McCormick catches that easily (sorry)

Great decisions on who sign & trade for? (Walker has been an above-average FA signing)
Great scouting on who to claim from the waiver wire?
Great job by pitching coach?
Dumb luck?
If you told me that Falter started the season 0-7 and we got relatively little from Brodgon, Dominguez and Bellatti, I would have not predicted this outcome.

I'm focused on the guys we have here.
We don't got to the World Series without Marsh.
Honestly, I think the trade we'll hate the most in the long run is not Moniak but Ben Brown, and even with THAT we don't go to World Series without Robertson.

Moniak was the Thor trade
and I had no problem trading him; just frustrating
