I do not want to see any big moves for a rental at the trade deadline. Someone who will be here next year - ok

The signs for Castellanos regressing have been there for a while - but he is around 4 for his last 36.

Adding 1 good bat is not going to make them a WS team - too many issues with the lineup

Not clear why we need anyone to manage the team with this mindset

Rob Thomson on not shaking up the top of the lineup: "They've gotta come out of it. They gotta hit. Those five guys gotta hit. And that's where we're at."

If they miss the playoffs, this statement is a fireable offense
It is just stupid and speaks to his stubborn uncreative managerial approach

FolesMVP09 wrote: Sun Jul 23, 2023 1:07 am Marsh is mediocre at best too - screws up too many plays

Plus, JT is declining defensively

Lots of bad trends
There are things that are just truisms, despite the age of Analytics. Strength up the middle is vital for a strong team. It begins with catcher, SS/2B, & CF. I thought Marsh and Turner were supposed to be + defenders. Marsh has played with his head up his own ass, Turner looks like he's on a rapid physical decline as a defender.
