It wouldn't just help. It would make the lineup darn-near impossible to navigate some days. Not quite 1993 and 2008 levels, but potentially a tier right behind that.

Interesting, indeed. They had so much go wrong last year and they're certainly a candidate to bounce back and get into wild-card contention.

But if they cannot rebound and struggle this summer, the Twins just bought themselves July's #1 trade chip.

I think my favorite part of the Correa thing is people had him lined up to go to the Yankees for a while and instead they traded for Donaldson freeing up the money for the Twins to get him. Maybe we can send them Girardi back, he and Cashman are both washed they deserve each other.

One thing to consider, Nick will for the first time in his career will feel the home crowd...Detroit, Cinnci...lol. Schwarber got a taste, Chicago and Boston, but this will be something new and refreshing for both of them. This offense is going to be stupid.

Hoskins IMO is really key...hopefully Kevin Long sees stuff we have always seen the dipping of the back side and the rolling over. If Rhys is on, this team is going to rake.

The possibilities are so much fun...and to predict? The 2008 Phils scored 799 runs, we could easily surpass that. The thing I love about Nicky and Schwarber is they both go the other way with serious power...plays well at CBP. These guys dont hit ballpark HRs, they CRUSH it.

Our starting 9 could look something like this for HRs...CF and SS I will list as such, I hope Stott wins the job, but now with DH taken care of, I think it is Didi's job to lose or it is Bohms job to lose...Didi at 3rd and Stott at SS

That is 220 and I think I am being conservative...just need health. But a number that could be really staggering is the number of pitches that the Phils will see in each game...tons of walks, as this group is patient too.

THIS is always the key, perhaps more than the dingers. It drove the 1993 and 2008-era success. Yes, there are some great bullpens in the NL (Atl, LA), but for the most part you always want to get the starter worn down, out of the game, and into the bullpen. That's how you pile up wins.

The Phillies must feast on the bad and mediocre teams this year.

Dillon Maples is a nice sleeper for the bullpen. He may not pan out, but that's the kind of arm you take a chance on for no-risk, high-reward.
