Eagles get Leonard. If he can tackle, he's an upgrade.

Re: 2023 Eagles Discussion
Roseman probably significantly upped the offer in order to land him.
Re: 2023 Eagles Discussion
After that thumping by the 49ners we had to get more LB help. Losing Cunningham was huge. Hopefully Leonard can help.BelmontShore wrote: ↑Mon Dec 04, 2023 8:50 pm Roseman probably significantly upped the offer in order to land him.

Rueben Frank has been spouting that Elliss was playing well and Shaq was merely added to provide depth. Now Elliss is cut. Rubes' takes are not too hot.
Re: 2023 Eagles Discussion
Per Zingaro, Sirianni said that he didn't believe the Eagles could sustain their offense using a dink and dunk approach. Maybe that philosophy is coming down from the FO and explains why our defense plays soft hoping their opponents will self destruct. But guess what, the good ones don't and they exhaust your defense.
Meanwhile on offense Hurts takes too many 7 step drops against soft zones guarding against the explosive play.
They need to incorporate more quicking hitting plays and run the ball effectively to create opportunities for gash plays and they need to defend better against the short passing game even if it risks an occasional deep shot. Death by a thousand paper cuts may be worse than giving up a deep shot every now and then. It may lead to more sacks and take aways too.

Re: 2023 Eagles Discussion
The Philadelphia Eagles have reportedly promoted assistant Matt Patricia to defensive coordinator over Sean Desai and moved Desai into another position ahead of Monday's game against the Seattle Seahawks, Fox Sports' Jay Glazer reports.

Hurts down to questionable for Monday's game.
Giving Hurts a week off and rallying for a win with the leader down wouldn't be the worst situation in the world.
But it's also a must-win game if they want the #1 seed

Hmm, more intrigue.
This seems weird.
[Philadelphia Eagles assistant Matt Patricia will take over play-calling duties from defensive coordinator Sean Desai starting with Monday's game against the Seattle Seahawks, Fox Sports' Jay Glazer reports.
Per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Desai will retain his title of defensive coordinator, but is stripped of the position's primary duty of calling plays.]
A DC who doesn't actually call his own plays?
Whozewhatzit?

Just till offseason I bet when we will have a new DC.
Tim McManus also reporting a lot of finger pointing has been happening among the defense.
Guessing this drove the change more than just the last 2 week scores.
