76ers came out with the D today, holding GS to 15 first quarter points.
Springer helping to keep Curry scoreless so far.

Sixers shooting a woeful 2 -14 from 3pt range.
Both teams are shooting under 42% but Warriors are doing better on 3's (5 - 16) allowing them to take the lead into halftime.

76ers won't win this game unless they start hitting 3pt shots.
They won't be able to score enough solely in the paint and midrange to keep up with this Warriors' offense.

Same old story.
Sixers have to work too hard to generate points in the paint while the Warriors are draining 3's and busting the game open.
Nurse really has to consider giving Terq and Council more playing time to get more athleticism and 3pt shooting on the court. At least until guys like Melton and Batum can get back healthy.

Sixers getting blitzed from 3pt range again. Warriors 11 - 23, while 76ers 4 - 19.
A 21 pt differential in favor of the Warriors, who lead by 23 after three.

Every Warriors offensive player begins the offensive attack beyond the 3pt line. So they're already in triple threat position and ready to raise up to shoot a 3. So when that ball moves, they're immediately ready to shoot a 3.
The 76ers don't have that. Generally only one, to at most, starts behind the 3pt line. So the 76ers have to work too hard to get into 3pt shooting position. Guys are having to get 3pt shots off the bounce rather than catch and shoot. That leads to a lower 3pt%.

This loss is more than just being about having guys out hurt. Obviously, Embiid missing makes the biggest difference, but when he's out, it really illustrates the lack of overall athleticism, the lack of shooting among the wings, the lack of length, the lack of stretch 4/5 shooting.
As you said, Glenn, Nurse has gotta get Council and Smith in the game earlier.

It will be very interesting to see what kind of moves or non-moves Morey makes at the trade deadline.
Does he give up on the season and hold onto all his trade assets or does he bring in some solid reinforcements to keep the ship from sinking before Embiid possibly returns?

Stopgaps won't do anything significant.
Unless there are 2 or even 3 substantial moves, I don't see the point. I'd rather strip the roster for picks and work for a better draft pick. He'd have to move Harris, Bamba, Melton, perhaps some of the other vets. They need to get an Ingram out of NO and Trent Jr out of Toronto, they need longer, more athletic, better shooting wings, perhaps a stretch 4/5.
