Angels starter is Tyler Anderson, who I REALLY REALLY wanted last winter. He has a 5.35 ERA in 117 innings for Angels.

tl;dr -- don't listen to Christopher

==================

PS -- If they're going to give him some ongoing consideration, this is exactly the kind of game Castro should be starting for Phillies

Yep. They need to see him more throughout September, and find out who's most valuable for final spot -- probably between Castro, Wilson and Pache.

WTF

Jeff Passan
@JeffPassan

BREAKING: The Los Angeles Angels have placed starter Lucas Giolito, relievers Matt Moore and Reynaldo López, and outfielders Hunter Renfroe and Randal Grichuk on waivers, sources tell ESPN. Huge potential playoff implications: All can be claimed by teams for free on Thursday.

Good thing that they kept Ohtani

I know it is a salary dump - but still, lol

Teams below the Phillies are going to claim them, especially Giolito & Lopez - for no cost. Seems to be questionable ethically

Trying to get under the salary cap I assume

If Manfred had any balls, he would not allow this as Kuhn did in 76 when the As tried to sell their players

Gives the teams fighting with the Phils an unfair advantage to add decent players for nothing

Moore is the prize pickup. Will he end up on a wild card team below us?

Someone will take Giolito for sure.

Lopez is decent.

Renfroe and Grichuk bring very little to the table for most contenders.

Phillies really need to claim all three pitchers, just in case.
Figure it out later if they get one.
