Today's game will tell us more.
FWIW, if I'm the Mets, I'm absolutely treating this like my World Series. They will play us tough. Our offense must be relentless and put them away.

It was at this point in the season last year where the Phils went into Chicago and got swept, so I take nothing for granted

As Chris said, Mets are going to be motivated. Need to hit their lesser pitchers as I expect Quintana to shut them down Saturday. Real critical to win game 1

Need to do no worse than 2-2 while hoping for 3-1

A lot of rain in the forecast Sat/Sun - could be a bit problematic

Seeing eye shit hurts Suarez who's making good pitches, other than the HBP..

I will again stress, I think that it is critical that they find a way to win tonight.

They are going to need 8+ to have a shot tomorrow.

Nice job getting the sac fly - critical to score those runners from 3rd with less than 2 outs

Question now is, can Suarez actually get a shutdown inning

and that is one of the many worrying things if they do somehow make the playoffs - outside of Wheeler, every other starter could be a disaster (now watch Wheeler get lit up if they make the playoffs...)

On another note, I am over Pache getting starts. Rather take my chances with Marsh against a LH
