Leading off, and little surprise:

Matt Gelb

Zack Wheeler starts Game 1 on Tuesday. Aaron Nola has Game 2. Nola won’t pitch again this season. He’ll take the extra rest.

I would have to suspect Suarez gets Game 3, if needed.

Diamondbacks win today to take firmer grip on the #2 spot and a trip to Philadelphia.

They are planning to start Gallen on Friday and Kelly on Saturday.

If so, those two would be in line to start Games 2 and 3 in Philadelphia, making Game 1 must-win for the Phillies.

If the Dbacks clinch a spot, but 2nd/3rd is undecided - I would think that they would save Gallen/Kelly

Game 3 would be the kitchen sink pitching game obviously for the Phils

As for the roster

Phils are not going to use much bench, baring injuries. Other than Marsh and Rojas, I don't see anyone that they are going to pinch hit for

Should be all righty starters

Pinch hitting Cave, Wilson, Sosa, Pache or Castro for matchups instead of batting Marsh or Rojas does not really move the needle

Phillies opened their Stay Ready camp in Clearwater. They’ll have Marchan, Hall, Clemens, Wilson, Bellatti, Brogdon, Marte, Moore, Nelson, Ortiz and Plassmeyer there having daily workouts in case of postseason emergencies.

Hope this doesn't mean they've already ruled out Wilson for the final roster spot. I guess it could be Pache over Castro, at least.

I think that they may swap in Nelson/Plassmeyer for Sat/Sun to eat some innings

Can demote Kerkling/Sanchez to create the spots

I'd be very surprised if Wilson was on the roster

If we assume 4 bench players

Sosa
Stubbs
Cave
Pache

I think that if a critical need was there, they would not hesitate to use him out of the bullpen in game 1/2

No Schwarber in LF thankfully. Please kick Kimbrel off the "committee"

John Clark
@JClarkNBCS
Rob Thomson says Zack Wheeler and Aaron Nola will start Tuesday and Wednesday to start wildcard series

Rob says he will go closer by committee. He says Bryce Harper will play at first base in playoffs

Sanchez and Kerkling should definately be on that roster. Take off Lorenzon.

I'm OK with Kimbrel in the 7th, but thats it right now.
