Yep - and that is what often happens in the playoffs - a team gets hot and goes on that run (as the Phils did last year)

Maybe, but the 2023 Phillies would wipe the mat with the 2007 Phillies, who were not yet seasoned enough.
So maybe the 2023 Diamondbacks are the 2007 Phillies.

The Diamondbacks and Rangers had the two best trade deadlines.
They are not the teams you think of from mid-summer.

Montgomery and bullpen overhauls fixed the Rangers. They were always going to hit.
Sewald changed the entire complexion of the Arizona bullpen. It's not a weakness anymore. And Pham -- who the Phillies were interested in -- could back to haunt them

Astros' starting pitching never really caught fire this year.
Valdez and especially Javier have seen big workload increases over a 3-year span

Agreed.

This 2022-23 Phillies team had way many big name FA signings than the 07-08 teams. They were more home grown, then picked up key pieces to win it all. It just all worked out.

Hopefully, it does this time around.

Phillies have had a lot of different heroes/contributions in first two rounds.

Against the primarily RHP Diamondbacks, I think Schwarber and Stott have to make an impact. And if Marsh can, too, all the better.

Everyone hits is the reason teams can't navigate this lineup. Keep it rolling.
