Great, go get Bryant, too

20 mil per 4 years for big Kyle.
No chance they snag Bryant now.

Love big thunder.
Also Hoskins/Schwarber/Harper are going to really piss pitchers off. Might see 60 pitches a game between them.

Someone like Eddie Rosario might be doable.
Can play OF and DH some and hit dingers

Love, love the bat. Don't get me wrong. But the roster as it currently stands is setting them up for awful left-side defense.

Eddie is a LH bat.
If they add another bat, I think it should be a RH and I *really* think they need someone with multiple gloves in his locker who can play some 3B

Beyond the obvious power appeal, Phillies needed another selective hitter like Schwarber. Last season, only Phillies drawing walks with much frequency were Harper & McCutchen, who's now in Milwaukee. Rest of team walked 7.7% of time, which would've been .1% away from worst in NL

Outside the box thought: Yankees are looking to move on from Luke Voit.

Phillies still have plenty of options if they want to get creative, aggressive and or think outside the box.
Also, there's a decent amount of $$ coming off the payroll next year with the expiration of contracts.
Signing Schwarber is a going for it move, but now they really have to go all in.
