Salary works out, too, Ramirez makes $12M this year.

I mean, why the hell did they bring Dombrowski in?
100% agree with your Dombroski sentiment. This is an interesting trade idea and Ramirez is on a club option next year for only 14M. That being said, I am confident that Bohm has a big bounce back year. But even so, I would be very interested in that trade

The lineup still has too many potential holes and questions. Gregorious is pretty much an all-or-nothing proposition. And if it's "not," then what? Is Stott ready to be thrown into everyday play? If it's not Bryant, then they have to get creative/aggressive enough to add another RH bat.

I would think that given his performance in 2020 and then his serious elbow condition last year, that if healthy, Didi can still produce as a DH. As far as Stott being ready....he is not a young player, he is 24, turning 25 in October, so he is at a prime age to be physically ready.

Gregorious bouncing back helps, too, for lineup balance. Because I suspect they'll have Schwarber lead off and Harper bats third. You need a LH bat somewhere around the #6 spot for balance.

LF Schwarber
2B Segura
RF Harper
C Realmuto
1B Hoskins
DH Gregorious
3B Bohm
SS Stott
CF Herrera/Vierling

Multiple executives believe that Freddie Freeman and his representatives may have over played their hand…so it will be interesting to see his final contract. #Rays #Dodgers #Padres #RedSox

Going to be optimistic for just a little bit, to stave off the existential dread.

I don't think the Phillies:
1. Want Schwarber playing 160 games in LF
2. Believe that BOTH of Gregorious and Bohm will be "fine"

Therefore I choose to believe another bat is incoming.
It's only common sense.

Matt Winkelman
@Matt_Winkelman
They won 82 last year while missing a lot of Eflin, got the worst of Bohm and Didi, you expect Harper regression, Wheeler and Nola in opposite regressions, and some other unfortunate injuries. Probably a 84-85 win team right now without another big move or someone jumping.

==============

Not so sure about that assessment from Winkelman.
They got to 82 wins by going a fairly decent 41-35 in the NL East. I think that will be hard to replicate. Will require going close to .500 vs. Mets & Braves and having a winning record vs. Marlins & Nationals. (They got to 41-35 last year by beating up on that Nationals, 13 wins, 6 losses)
