Padres aggressively trying to move Hosmer and/or Myers.

If they do that, I think they'd be serious about going after Bryant.

Here's another thought: If Hosmer only costs money, and not quality prospects, maybe see if they'll eat about 25% of the contract, bring his AAV down to $11 million. Hosmer at 1B and Hoskins at DH improves the team and gives the LH bat we need.

Then sign Bryant anyway :)

C Realmuto
1B Hosmer
2B Segura
SS Gregorious
3B Bohm
LF Bryant
CF fuck you, Middleton
RF Harper
DH Hoskins

Wonder if the Phillies are thinking along these lines:

C Realmuto
1B Hoskins
2B Segura
SS Stott
3B Bohm
LF *guy they actually spend money on*
CF Herrera/Vierling
RF Harper
DH Gregorious

PS: I pretty much hate that. Even if it's Bryant in LF, it's about a C+/B- from what they could do.

Word is, Dombroski has NOT been given the OK to go over the new tax threshold. I just dont get it. So you are going to spend $229M versus $250M know that your 229M roster is not good enough? Make zero fucking sense. Bryant and Schwarber are a must. NOT signing Odubel is a MUST. I would rather go with Vierling/anyone in CF...either way, the team that Christopher has listed will be a fucking nightmare on defense.

Why would Dombroski be here do NOTHING, fuck, any dumbass could be doing the GM job that he has done so far.

I was going to predict around 78 wins this year, but adding the crap that they are planning and injuries to Wheeler/Suarez will make that too optimistic

Looking forward to Bryce demanding a trade

Eff off Middleton, Dombroski, Girardi and the rest of their clown show

More like Vierling in left, Odubel every day and lots of Luke Williams and Johann Carmago sprinkled in

As you said, bring back the lockout

If Odumbell is back as a regular and Wheeler is hurt, Girardi should just quit before he's fired.
